Configuration

• Open the index window (Command-Option-I)
• Define a set of rules, which items to include in the index
• The default configuration already provides an extensive collection of rules covering a wide range of resources such as applications, preference panes, contacts, web bookmarks and history, iTunes Library, iPhoto Library, network locations, files and folders, …
• See the Options pane for a number of options to fine tune some of these indexing rules

Live index updates

LaunchBar keeps an eye on the resources that it maintains. As soon as a change is detected, the index gets updated automatically. Automatic index updates can be configured in the Schedule pane.

Categories

The Categories rule automatically groups similar items. All items of the same kind are collected in a single category, allowing to sub-search this category for a specific item.

Search Templates

You can define a list of search templates allowing you to fire web searches directly from LaunchBar.
